My Asus G51VX had a Samsung Impression cell phone attached via a USB cable, at which point the computer shut down and cannot be restarted.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the computer back up?

ok you say it dont boot. does it not even start or does it go to the loading bar or does it just do bios loop reboots?
if you can get into your bios go to the final screen and reset to manufacturers default setting.

Try unplugging the laptop, taking out the battery and holding the power for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in (without the battery) and try turning it on.
