    CPU-z says 2.762 mhz and a fsb/ram speed of 307. Game mode is 2.632 and 292.9 respectively
*EDIT* its not fsb, just buss speed. My bad.

    hmmm

can i get into the bios and manually o/c it there? because i know that the e6600 is not even sweating at that speed and can easily reach into the mid 3ghz range... but i would only be doing that plugged into a wall and on top of a block of ice :)

The C90S is only capable of reaching a cap of 2.93 GHz. Or that's what I've read so far on these forums. The chipset has a cap or a limit of 2.93 GHz.

Correct me if I'm wrong someone.

Yeah they have a limit of 2.93ghz for the e6700 or e6800, the e6600 only reaches 2.7x ghz with a 15% OC, not sure why they dont allow a full 20% oc on it with the software it would still be in spec with ram speed and everything.

There is a new version of the software out I think, maybe it corrects this. However we are talking small points to worry about, a few hundred mhz wont make any huge changes to anything, Id only really wish I had the full power if I was encoding something.

Soon as somebody takes the time to mod a program like ClockGen to work with the motherboard we can manually overclock it, but much past 2.93ghz and yeah it will be too hot.
