Has anyone had experience buying from asuslaptop.co.uk?

I'm looking at getting an Asus but don't know how reputable this company is.

    Thanks :)

I got mine from them but buying an Asus in the UK is not really the problem. Getting a warranty repair or a new replacement unit if something goes wrong is likely to be a problem by the sounds of it.

When I ordered from Asuslaptop.co.uk, my unit arrived (G1SN) in about 2 days.

It's not Asus I want specifically, but I want a G50V since I can't find anything else for that spec in the UK for that price - not with a 15" screen anyway - 17" would be too big

afaik, two of the US resellers here (ExcaliberPC.com, BTOTech.com) will ship to Europe. There are details regarding payment requirements that are on their websites.

Global warranty will be covered by UK or NL units, however, and there are issues with those reported here, as noted above.

Sorry I badly worded that. I want a powerful gaming 15" laptop for under £1000 the only one I've found is the Asus G50V however I'm not specifically after an Asus. It was the best suggestion in the What Laptop Should I Buy forum so I wanted to find out more about asuslaptop.co.uk in the Asus forum :)

I tried to buy an Asus laptop from someone else (Nexus13). They said it was in stock, charged my credit card. However despite entering the delivery address on their website, the confirmation said delivery was to my home address. It took nearly a week to sort this out. I then asked about delivery times, and was told it wasn't in stock, and they were waiting for a delivery that day. The next day I was told that it would be another two weeks. I cancelled my order.

I then phoned AsusLaptop.co.uk. They had it in stock, and delivered it to my work address the next day. I would definitley use them again.

The Asus G50VT will be finally available in Europe from early january. So far only the G50V has been available (9700M) but the G50VT with 9800M will be available in around 2 weeks.
