Not trying to be a smarta** or anything, but wouldn't this question have been more relevant before the purchase?

I actually spoke to their guy Charles on the phone about W2V once. One thing I would note is their return policy. Basically they do not allow returns/refunds under any circumstances - even if you don't customize the notebook (which they can do). Not for a restocking fee, not for store credit - once you buy it, you keep it - period. Any problems will have to be addressed with Asus directly. I found that a bit discouraging..

true, however already had done some research on it and would purchase from somebody anyways-some are happy with the reseller some arn't. What if u get good references and then u r screwed up?...wait and see
I believe the more you are trying to sell yourself (reseller) the more worries are raised, isn't it right?

If you're trying to refer to me and say questions should be raised about my company because I help with this site - you're not thinking straight. You can think what you want, but my involvement here is because of our record of service and support..... if you want to question it, go ahead, but no one else has this award which should basically concrete the whole "trust" issue: http://www.proportable.com/images/jpgs/asusaward05.jpg

I actually had a good experience with agearnotebooks. I live just a few minutes from their office and from the Asus office in Fremont, so when I had some problems with my w3v the person from agearnotebooks came to my house and picked up my laptop. After just a few days he dropped off the laptop at my house, repaired and working well.

Interesting Unlce. I just want to be sure I am understanding you correctly.

If you like the ASUS notebook you will praise Agear, but if you dont like the notebook you will spread ill will about their business on every forum around. It sounds like you are linking quality of service Agear offers to quality of the notebook you chose to buy.

Why not just review Agear on the quality of service you recieve from them?

I can't speak for other resellers, but a commitment to a high level of customer service runs independant from of a threat of repercussion from a customer. On the flip side, I woul dmuch rather do business with someone pleasant and level minded than one looking to "get even."

The calm approach is much more likely to yield a better experience for all invlolved. I simply suggest giving that a try rather than the opposite approach.

    Just my thoughts.

    Just my thoughts.

    Matt -

There are plenty of people like that out there and some are worse than others. Anytime a customer comes to us and starts off with the wrong attitude, we know exactly where it'll head and we're more than welcome to suggest them to someplace else. The main problem is these people have probably been burned in the past or have some inferiority complex where they need to feel empowered and can't take responsibility for their own choices. Therefore, if they pick out a laptop and they don't like it, it's someone else's fault and they'll make them pay for it......

For us, I feel we're here to provide a service by educating and offering a place to find a product. I've seen it a thousand times and it's THE reason we feel a transaction between us and someone else is something mutually decided on. There's nothing to suggest a customer who's rude and demanding before a sale is going to be anything less after. If respect isn't mutual, refusing to sell to that party is not only an alright thing to do, but proof that ethics have a higher place in some businesses than the bottomline and quotas.

This action will only get u banned here, one post is more than enough, so if you end up disappointed with their service by all means share your experiance... but please only do this once. Spamming the site does no one any good at all.

    Dear Justin

I didn't imply any offence towards you, I was just expressing an opinion which happens to be a personnal attribute as well. Maybe I am overexaggerating but trying to get some input and info from others so I get a better idea as to what to expect from this purchase

    Dear Matt

same thing pretty much - I wiil make sure asus and AGN are not going to be linked in my review, in the way, that if a below standard reseller will be the trigger to attack asus and vice versa, in no way whatsoever. Thanks for the reasssuring advice.

In fact the communication with AGN.COM so far has been very promising and without problems.

    I will keep you posted
