    hi ... i got my asus ux501 and there is a small bump in the trackpad so should i be worried about it ??

    Wanna post a picture or something? Probably still should work fine, does it bother you to use it? Again I'd love to see an image of it as Asus customer service is not fun to deal with.

    Huh that is weird. I would guess the machine should work just fine. But I would understand if you want to RMA it.

    No . I dont wanna do that .. but some people are saying that maybe its because of the battery and it may explode thats what im worried about

    Oh, yeah so take the backplate off and take a look. If the battery is deformed 100% RMA it. I was assuming it was just a physical deformity for some reason.

    The problem is i cant rma it because i got it from usa and iam from iraq

    Hmm, alright, well can you open it up and take a look for yourself at the battery? If you can't RMA it anyway open it and look inside. If you aren't sure pull the battery out (look up how to do it if you don't know how) and post a pic of it here.

    sorry for the late reply.. i didnt open the laptop because i think if it was battery problem i would have an unstable battery life but its perfect so i didnt check inside

    IF everything is working ok, it could just be cosmetic as well :)
