How can I find the serial number of the used asus ux31a touch laptop I just bought? I'm afraid it might have been stolen cause the serial number sticker is gone (though all the other stickers look to be in good shape).

Even with the S/N, how can I find out if it was stolen?

Open up a Command Prompt window (type "cmd" in your Start Menu search box) and enter:
    Code:
    wmic bios get serialnumber
That should return your serial number, as pulled from BIOS.

It should also appear in the BIOS setup utility under the Main tab. :) Glad you found it.
