Is there anywhere i can get a 9 cell or better battery for this laptop? I searched ebay and a few other sites, i didn't see any. To me it feels like the battery dies to fast like in 2 hours or so. I'm not using the original processor it came with but a t9400.

    Indeed it does.

Asus + 15" screen + dedicated gpu + fast cpu + stock 6cell = less than 3 hours battery life in all cases with light usage pattern and mid-range lcd brightness, less than 2 hours if you're actually gaming on battery.

Just the way things are with Asus' power management programming. With average documented 6cell runtime around 2-2.5 hours with light use, you can probably expect around 3:00-3:40 with light use on the 9cell.

I managed to get just under 3 hours doing heavy notetaking (maybe 3000-4000 words/hour) in power saving mode, with screen brightness set to the absolute lowest (painfully unreadable in a brightly lit environment) and with wifi off. I might get a 9 cell in the future.

how do i set down the brightness? I can't really see much from a few feet away because the screen is so bright. I have to be right infront of it.
