I've got an Asus A4K laptop (which I believe is equivalent to a Z80 / Z81 AMD64 US model laptop, and I was wondering whether it's possible to upgrade the internal USB WLAN b module for a USB WLAN g?

I regularly use my PCMCIA card slot so I'd rather not by a PC-card adaptor, and I don't like the idea of an external USB adaptor, as I don't like things sticking out the side of the laptop! I thought of a miniPCI card, but I don't think the A4K / Z81 has a miniPCI slot.

I've got a copy of the Z8 installation / replacement document (thanks to Justin at ProPortable some time back!) and it seems to show that the USB WLAN can be replaced.

Can anyone help with a USB WLAN g part number that would work?

    Many thanks,
    Jim

    Anyone?

what about a supplier that may be able to sell a component like this to a customer in the UK? I really need to change my SIS-162 for a SIS-163!
