Has anybody installed Vista on their W7J? I just want to know their experiences during installation and use.

    Thanks

Just to give you a suggestion, you'd better off just asking or looking for experiences with anyone with an Asus with the 945 chipset...... core duo or core 2 duo.... they're all going to be about the same... and issues will be similiar when it comes to certain drivers and such as almost all of the systems this past year were pretty much identical in terms of what components were used on the motherboards. You'll get a much broader response if you put it that way.... you can also just look around the forum and find many people talking about it.

... just so you know, there really shouldn't be any issue.... The first W7 that came out was the first vista capable machine Asus put out... so everything is certainly certified and Vista will work. The drivers for the new Vista model should also be or should soon be, up on their drivers site.

Bought W7О with Vista Home Premium preinstalled. Core 2 Duo 2GHz 1GB RAM 160GB HD.

    Upgraded to Vista Ultimate.

    So far:
Performance is very good, using Vista Aero theme. (I had W5A 1,83GHz 512MB before)
Stability - had some crashes and unstable conditions, but generally Vista can hold high workload very well.

And yeah, it looks and feels so TASTY!

my friend just got a w7j off of newegg; came with XP, he upgraded to Vista Ultimate and it works perfectly. He pulled the drivers off of the thread in this forum, as I did for my w3j
