is the dell gforce go 6900 that much better than the ati x1600 (besides that dell has 2gb of ram) ? not to mention that the dell model is 2x as expensive than the asus as well. it shows almost 2x as higher score in 3dmark and higher fps in all games. I'm looking to get a w3j right now.

This has been discussed in a prior thread. We also tested the T7400 in the Z96J. With the incorrect BIOS its hard to say how accurate those benchs are. Along with BIOS errors we experienced shutdown problems and some overheating problems with the processor. Once a new bios is released i see the performance being better than what has been shown this far. :)

Correct bios has been out from the 27th. If you had the incorrect bios then there is no way your laptop would have even posted. With the incorrect bios the bios wont crash it wont even turn on. With the correct bios you will get figures that look like this

Benchmarks for z96j with Merom Core 2 Duo T7400:
    3DMark 05 - 3881
    PCMark 05 - 4730
    --CPU - 5489
    --Memory - 4286
    --Graphics - 3071
    --HDD - 3937

I didnt notice the bios was out already :( I agree with the figures, but the system would start up with the T7400. It would get a bios error but would boot, post and get to a desktop just fine. :)

The scores posted in that review from 3dmark 05 are right on point. They obviously had the same bios i used. Look for it and test it your self. You can find the bios on intel.com
