Well guess who is tying this message on their notebook?

I'm very pleased. I'm forcing myself to use the touch pad. I so miss my mouse right now.

A couple of months ago we set up a wireless network at the house so my kids could all use their laptops simutaneously when they come home. Took me about 1 minute to configue my Z70va and now I'm surf'ing wirelessly. Got to love the 21st century.

After I ordered my machine I started reading all the posts about red ghosting and creaky palmrests. Needless worrying so far.

I was also concerned about the font size given my elderly eyes. But the display is crystal clear and I've got no problems reading text.

    I'm very pleased.

I don't see any noticable flex but I'm sure you'll understand if I don't go pounding on my new $2k notebook.

Loaded DVD software and checked that out. No problems.

Based on other theads, I'm going to setup a C: and D: drives. All I have is C: now.

sexybest. why do you keep thinking you have to change the video settings to bring it to life. I have own many asus and the default settings are pretty clost to the best for the screen. maybe a tweak here and there. i had a z70v and it has a great screen right out of the box.

i guess i just prefer super bright screens.

on nvidia cards, you can adjust what they call digital vibrance, makes your lcd look like a cartoon and brings it to life.

You mean the "Built on Asus" sticker? With the lid closed (hinge to the back), it's located to the bottom and is "right side up". HTH

Yup, that's the way it's supposed to be, supposedly.

Thing is why didn't they put that stupid writing the same way then? The Mulitimedia something or other in the top right when the lid is closed?

    Stupid Asus. :D

bleh, I guess you're right aphirat.

I kinda like it the way it is, so I'm going to leave it.

Wait, I wonder how the stickers are positioned on the Ensemble versions of the Z70Va, being the M6Va how are the stickers positioned on them?
