Ok so i got an X73SV(Click link for specs) The i5 version, i'd like to put the i7 version in instead, and i was wondering how much a hassle this is? do i need to remove the keyboard etc or is it reachable from the back?

I really want 2.0 quad instead of 2.3 dual core.

Anyone done this before or on pc's with similar designs etc?!

It's possible, but it will be a hassle. You basically have to tear it down to a box of parts.

I would be too scared to attempt that :)

It depends on your model. Some of the models have screws on the back, while others don't (the G-series). However, it is still a big hassle either way, since you'll have to remove the heat pipes, and they're PITA to remove.

Also, keep in mind that anything other than swapping out memory and HDD immediately void your warranty.
