Any suggestions? Device manager says "Code 10".

    Thank you.

Code 10 is usually either a driver-related problem, or a faulty or incompatible device.

If you haven't already tried, you can...

    1. Remove the existing driver (if any)
    2. Run a system cleanup tool (Ccleaner, Glary Utilities, etc.)
    3. Reboot

If the system loads a native driver for the device, test that. If not, try the original/oldest driver Asus offers; you can upgrade over it should it work. If still no luck, though, the card may need to be replaced.

I've tried both Win10 and Win8.1 drivers - same problem. ASUS support told me reinstall some other 3 drivers/programs which I did - no change. CCleaner finds nothing - it's a very clean/fresh system. ASUS support suggested upgrading to 212 BIOS from 208, but some people are complaining on-line about this move. ASUS is suggesting RMA, but many people reported this problem and seems like they have resolved it...

I can't really speak for the BIOS roll back suggestion. It might work, but flashing a system is always a little risky.

    No reported solution, though?

The most reported solution is installing Win8.1 drivers which didn't work for me. It's a sense/feeling that things got ironed out for many because there are complains but not outcries.

Yeah, I want to avoid flashing BIOS. At least for now.

Only other thing to throw out there for suggestion is to replace the device with a different WLAN card. Kind of involved and extreme, though, and Asus won't be able to support you if you go that route, though the upgrade might be nice.

Try this utility: https://drp.su/index.htm it is pretty good in finding the correct drivers. Make sure that when you use it first go thru the list of the drivers he offers and check only the one you need. I also go into software and uncheck everything unless I need something specific. Good luck!
