Where are you buying from? I know GenTechPC ships internationally, at least to Canada and the UK.

    XoticPC also ships internationally.

Check the Info thread for the recommended resellers.

Then wouldn't it be easier if you went to Shum Shui Po? (Golden Computer center, to be exact)

Born and raised in HK :D

Yeah, Asus notebooks sold in HK are usually a bit more expensive than the US and I remember buying an Asus for my mom in the US and shipping it to HK - it was still a bit cheaper at the end. This would be a good choice if you're not in any hurry, however, since you're paying via wire transfer, this may ramp up the overall cost if you purchase your laptop in the US. I'm not exactly sure what the wire transfer fees are, but if it still turns out cheaper, then that'll be great.

    HKD$200 isn't too bad. I'm actually in Boston, so I haven't seen the G51 in HK :p

If you are unable to find an online retailer that will ship internationally, you can just do what I always did while studying abroad and use a parcel forwarding service. I used Shipito. The way it works is you go online and order, Shipito will forward your purchase to you. The fee is so very low. Check it out.

i bought my laptop from excaliberpc and they were courteous and attentive throughout the whole process. When buying internationally, u have to verify and confirm IMPORT DUTIES. and assess thereafter if the purchase is really worth it. Goodluck !
