    Does anyone know when the VX2S is actually coming out (Gizmodo etc had originally said June)....My wife is really nagging me about it as her computer is on its last legs. I'm in desperate need of a little peace & quiet...pls tell me its soon.

    She's threatening to get a Sony :eek: !! I looked at the SZ series...wow they are big money for very mediocre specs (what a ridiculous screen resolution for a $2500 machine)

    dude, nobody puts more than 1280 by 800 in a 13 inch... its not even produced in higher resolutions

    The SZ6 that will be out by end of Jul or beginning of Aug will be SR based (check the SZ6 thread in the Sony forum for more details) But like the above post said, anything above 1280 x 800 for a 13/13.3" does not exist.

    1366x768 exists, it's slightly (very slightly). It's a 16:9 resolution compared to the standard 16:10 in laptops.

    1366x768 is found in many HDTVs; in notebooks, its only on the F3Sv-X1 and anything with a 11.1" widescreen (Asus U1F, Sony TX/TXN/TZ, Averatec 1579, etc).

    I meant that it was a slightly, very slightly, higher resolution. like a few thousand pixels or something. i forgot to write the end of my sentance.

    I would say anything beyond 1200 on a 13 inch screen or smaller is suicide for your eyes if that laptop is used more than 15 mins a day... unless something is being done to fix it (DPI font sizes etc)
