    1440x900

i think its perfect.......but high resolutions in smaller screens is the reason for the grainess in the A8Js

    1280x768...
I came from a 1400x1050 resolution before, and I thought 1280x768 would be way too big... but it's quite fine actually. I'm fine with it.

1280x768. Sometimes I wish I had more screen space, particularly in the vertical direction, but then things might be too small because XP doesn't scale in regards to DPI very well.

Ha ha ha  My 14.1" laptop will have a superior WSXGA+ display.

That means it will have 240x150 more resolution than WXGA+ and 280x0 more than SXGA+, wait a minute 280x0=0...Doh!

    1,440*900=1,296,000
    1,400*1050=1,470,000
    1680*1050=1,764,000

Compared to WXGA+ 1,764,000-1,296,000=468,000 more pixels for me.
Compared to SXGA+ 1,764,000-1,470,000=294,000 more pixels for me.

My w3j has a 1280x768 ( i think) screen. Not enough. I wish it had 1440x900 at the minimum. I REALLY wish it was 1680x1050 though :/ The biggest downfall of the notebook for me.

I find WXGA too small on a 14", WXGA+ is more like it. WSXGA+ may too too large though. WSXGA+ is the optimal resolution in my opinion, not too large, not to small. On a 15.4" WSXGA+ is great, SXGA+ on a 15" is too. I'm using WSXGA+ on a 20" LCD and it's the best thing ever :)

    I would like 1680 x 1050 on a 14 inch screen.

I dont believe resolution can get too high.

the biggest part lacking is the vertical resolution to me. I wish it was over 1000 pixels. I dont need any more horizontal pixels but I wouldnt mind them

1280x768 is perfect for me, my eye sight isn't too good. Also great for gaming, the x1600 isn't powerful enough to run any modern game at 1680x1050...

1440x900, native res. I hate non-native res in anything, even gaming, and to me turning down settings while playing on native than the other way around.

If I was running a 14 foot screen, I would sure want more than what you all have. Jokes aside, 1440x900 is what I would want if I had a 14" (I have a 15).
