I know I don't post here much but maybe you all could shed some light on a few things I've been noticing as of late. First off, whenever I restart (rarely) often I get stuck at the Asus gaming logo screen. Many a time I'll have to manually turn it off and restart it, sometimes by just pressing the button or pulling the battery out. Any idea as to why this happens?

Second is that my iTunes runs very slow. Maybe its just my iPod has over 10,000 songs on it and thats just a lot to navigate through. But could it be something else? The overall program is slow as well and I don't know what the reason could be. Does anyone have any ideas or things I could do to make my two problems go away?

If you are talking about the ASUS splashscreen AFTER the reboot, then there's something wrong in the hardware or BIOS.

If it gets stuck before rebooting, it's probably the ACPI drivers.

As to iTunes I have no idea. Except you should be sure to remove the bloatware from the machine.

Try to start your computer without any external devices connected to it.
Sometimes external components like hard drives can draw to much power from a USB port and the system becomes unstable during startup.

E.B.E Thanks for the advice, I'll check out your POST thread when I get a larger chunk of time. Chrisvolker, I realize that whenever I experience this problem I have my computer connected to a laptop cooler with 4 USB ports, but I've never had anything like this happen before, only recently. Think the cooler could be the issue?

Possibly. Maybe the cooler is drawing too much power and the computer can't start up. It can happen...
