Hi, Im kinda new to these forums, but i've been looking around because i am planning to buy a new laptop. The one im considering is the W7J-3P115C (Intel Core 2 Duo T5500, 13.3" WXGA TFT, 1GB Ram, DVD-RW Burner, 120GB HD, Wireless Lan a/b/g, Bluetooth, Vista Premium) but instead of 1GB ram im adding 512 more. What i would like to know is the system rating given by Vista. i know its not that important but im jsut a bit curious.

Also, i play simple games like the sims, command and conquer 3, half life 2, dawn of war and such...im just wondering how well this laptop can handle it. Although im pretty sure it can, im just seeing if anyone had a bad experience wiht it. Anything would be appreciated, thanks!

the w7j most likely has 512 x 2 sticks to get 1 gb. 512 mb is soldered onto the motherboard. the max ram you can have is 1.5 gb (2.5 if you buy a 2 gb stick of ram...). thus, i don't believe you can add 512 mb.

The W7J can play the games you listed without issue.

On my W7J (see sig), I get a Vista score of 3.3.

Well it was my mistake at first for not being specific. Would this model be able to play Halo 2 on Vista as well? and would it be able to handle games at low settings throughout htis year???

I have the core duo version of the w7j stock and I get a vista score of 3.2
    Processor: 4.7
    RAM: 4.5
    Graphics: 3.6
Gaming graphics: 3.2 (lowest score determines vista score)
    hard disk: 4.5

as for gaming it should run everything you named pretty well. Here's a link to screenshots of the go7400: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=92443
