I was trying to get an external monitor going with my W3V. It was working in a general mirroring mode. When I restarted the computer, it came back up but now I have no video on either the built in LCD or the external LCD! I have tried hitting the reset button on the bottom, booting from a windows CD, pulling the battery, etc but nothing is working. The W3V seems to be starting up normally but I can`t see anything. Any ideas???

I turned it on again this morning and left it running for half an hour in case it was going through some kind of long boot sequence. Tried Fn-F7, but no change. If I hit the reset button under the right palm rest it just shuts the power off. Is that right? When I push the main power button on the right it seems to go through the main startup sequence, and yes the HDD LED does turn on for about a minute. However, it doesn`t seem to be getting to Windows. Is there a way to get into the BIOS?

Is bad RAM a possibility here? I think I have the original sticks that it came with to test. What do the Asus notebooks do when RAM fails?

Did you try and boot into safe mode? Hit f8 once every second as its booting.

Johnny9ball, tried safe mode too but the screen stays black. I have a sinking suspicion it may be the RAM so I will swap both modules out and try it again.
