    W3V: matched RAM sticks?

    Do the RAM modules used in the W3V have to be the same make and size? Could you mix say a 512MB and a 1GB module in the same unit? Does this only have to do with the speed benefits from DDR2?

    No....... and yes..... to run the system in dual channel mode you have to at least have a matching 512mb ddr2 533 stick (it doesn't have to be the same brand)........ however, if you want to get a 1gb stick, it will certainly work, but not in dual channel mode. If you need 1.5gb, you're going to get better performance out of that in single channel mode than only 1gb in dual channel....... so given the cost of 1gb sticks, I wouldn't worry about it and just get one of those......
