I recently dropped my W3V breaking the plug module where the charger plugs in. The computer "appeared" to survive the drop but time was running short since there was no way to charge the battery.

I replaced the plug module and while at it replaced the case bottom that was damaged and the LCD Bezel and case top due to wear.

First time back together it fired right up but no sound. Of course the speakers are deep in so back in and back out I went. Now it won't start.

The charger appears to be working as the orange charge light is orange. When I turn it on the blue power light (bulb symbol) comes on. Then the blue HD light comes on. Then the HD light goes instantly back off and the bulb light as well. Fan comes on during this brief period as well.

No LCD action, No Keyboard Bezel light action.

Any ideas? I have had the HD off a few times so I don't think that is the problem. I kit the reset hole with a paper clip also.

I wonder if the motherboard has failed or the HD finally kicked due to the drop.

It sure looks nice now. Just doesn't work :(

Also, I believe the Keyboard bezel ribbon has connection issues/integrity. When I push down on the plastic part of this connection and turn the computer on the lock/1 blue light blinks on. If I don't push lightly on this connection nothing happens.

Wow. That doesn't sound good, but I would go ahead and take it apart, then put it back together, making sure once more that everything is in order/seated correctly/in good repair. :(

Asus has an online catalog. Can order all the parts. My module was $10.

I would double check the processor, and RAM and make sure they are properly seated. If that doesn't work, it sounds like a board level problem. it could have been from the short that damaged the plug module and may have damaged the motherboard in the process as well.

Use method of elimination by trying components on a different system.
