Hello good folks: It is a pleasure to join you after reading the many helpful posts here over the past couple weeks. I am awaiting delivery of my new Portable One MX, but since it is built off of the ASUS W3V, I thought I'd ask my question here. I visited an ASUS reseller here in Utah today to drool a bit over the laptops, and they mentioned that it was unadvisable to use a docking station with a W3V because it would put undue stress on the motherboard, and shorten the lifespan of the computer. That's the first I had heard of this. What do you think - fact or urban legend?? Thanks!!! Doug

I don't think the W3V has native support for a docking station; at least I don't see any interface to connect to a docking station.

The only Asus models that have docking station capabilities at present are the M6Sne series and the M6A, no other models have the interface for the official asus docking station. :asus:
