    Hi guys,

    i recently purchased an Asus W3J ( t2400, 1024mb 667 ram, 100 gb 5400rpm)
expect i have a stuck pixel i`m pretty happy about my purchase.

But recently i noticed a little bit of `tremble`(don`t know if its the excat word) where the hd is placed, right of the touchpad
    Is this normal?

I noticed that other w3j`s don`t tremble soo much.. we purchased with 3 friends the same notebook.

sorry for my crappy enlgish, native language is dutch

    grtz

U mean it vibrates(emm... i also dunno whether if there is a better word for it). Anyway, Harddisk normally does that but to certain extent. If ur very familiar with notebooks, maybe u could swap it out for another and see if that's the problem then exchange it with the guy u bought from. But if it voids ur warranty, DUN try it!

Vibrate, rumble, tremble, shake, on my desktop I remember times when i'm burning a CD and my entire desk starts to rumble a little bit. LOL.

You state your W3J is trembling when the HD is being accessed, is it your entire W3J or just the palm rest, and the fact that you can feel it?

Also your W3J might be placed on an awkward part of the table (if your using a table) compared to your friends W3J, thus making it seem your W3J is rumbling more.

*You mentioned that you can feel it around the touchpad, put all 3 notebooks on the same table and retest the rumbling around the touchpad area, and have your friends compare too.

Just maybe your HD might be slightly offset in the HD Bay, which may be causing it to rumble irregularly.
