I bought my W3J from milestonepc.com with generic ram (5300) and i was looking to upgrade to 2 gigs. I noticed on NEWEGG and TIGERDIRECT that its 5400 not 5300, is there a difference? Is one of those two places the cheapest place to get ram?

You're not going to see a difference, it's a manufacturer thing..... both are still considered 667.
