I'm planning on purchasing the Vista Home Premium Upgrade for my W3J. I have the yonah version. Will I have any trouble with the upgrade aside from having to locate vista drivers for my hardware? Also is it true that in order to upgrade to Vista, you need a bios update? I'm currently running the latest bios that is posted on the ASUS site, I believe its the Bios210 that was released back in Novermber. I purchased my W3J from ProPortable.com, so Justin if you read this or anyone else that has any knowledge of this please reply.

    Thank you

There are no vista specific drivers for any of the models yet, but most current ones work with the 32bit versions. Asus will have more out after Vista gets released in a couple weeks.

I just posted a new thread about some problems I've been having w/ Vista on a W3j (this thread didn't pop up in a search I ran first...). I've been running Vista for about a month and a half after doing an in-place upgrade, and for the most part, it's been OK. I think many of the minor problems I am having may be related to the USB driver. At first it seemed to be working OK, but now I can't get Vista to recognize my PDA to do a sync or see the files on a memory stick. I also screwed up BT, which was working under the default drivers, after trying to swap in the Widcomm stack. I couldn't get my original functionality back after uninstalling the Widcomm stuff, and BT no longer appears in Device Manager. These functions aren't critical to me, but if you need all the bells and whistles of your LT to work, I'd wait a bit longer before going to Vista.
