The airline lost my baggage and my power adapter for my w2v along with it. What should I do for a replacement? Are there any third party adapters worth looking at? I wouldn't mind getting one that was more compact, but I don't know how safe it is? I really don't want to damage my notebook.

You can use third party power adapters... just make sure the power ratings match (e.g 19v, 3.42 A, 65W or something like that).

You could also purchase another one directly from Asus...
