Hiya, I am trying to check out the price for the w2v in Canada. In the Asus Canadian Summer Catalogue it lists the price for the w2v as $2699 CAD. Can anyone confirm this? I thought it would be more expensive, furthermore it seems weird that the price is identical to the US price.
    Thanks!

I also find that very odd... I was thinking it would be up near $3000.

I guess we'll just have to wait until it hits stores to find out...

Asus North America (Fremont, California) sets the prices for the US and Canada.... they're the same. Canadian price should be 3,288 or so, plus some extra costs to ship the products to Asus' Canadian Distributor.

We're told that the W2v shipments that we had to send back now have a return ETA of "end of August / begining of September" ...... so figure Canadian stores to physically have them towards the end of September.

Justin, i think the time gap is somewhat smaller. I think Danny from CanadaSys here talked about a 1-2 weeks delay between US and Canada.

Justin, so you think they will raise the prices to about 3288 when it releases? Or is it gonna stay as 2699. Just kinda confusing. Thanks!

the v6v and w3v were intially much cheaper in canadian dollars than american dollars when they first debuted as well. they stayed that way for about the first month then the prices were jacked up to meet american prices. I checked the Asus canadian website and yes, you're quoting the right price. I would buy it quickly before they start to factor in the exchange rate.
