    Hi
    I need some help,
I just got my W2 purchased online and I have few issues problems.

    1. Pre installed Windows XP have account activated and its asking me for password. Is this normal for brand new item?

    2. top left corner of the display seems to show this white patch of colors noticeable. anyone have same problem?

    2. The laptop suppose to come with the carry bag and in my case it didn't, its got RF mouse and all other extras including 2 year warranty. Is the carry bag supposed to be inside the original box? or does it come separately?.

    Thank

Where did you buy it? I got mine in the Netherlands.

Concerning the install procedure, mine came "empty", I had to use the recovery disks to install Windows MCE. During this install you can chose to use a password. If you didn't install it yourself and you don't know the password contact your supplier or you can just use to recovery disks to reinstall.

This patch in the top left corner you are talking about? Is it a small area which has higher brightness than the rest of the screen or does is consist of white dots? In the last case you have bright pixels and you can return the laptop to Asus (since the offer a zero bright dot warranty on their screens).

Finally, I received a carrying bag with my laptop (this is standard if I'm correct), it's from Asus and was included in the box. I didn't get a RF mouse though, I got a Logitech traveler mouse with a cord (which is quite crappy actually).

Yes, you can either enter one or leave it blank. It's whatever you set it up with. If you forgot or someone else set it up for you, you may have to do a restore to get rid of it.

    2. top left corner of the display seems to show this white patch of colors noticeable. anyone have same problem?
Is this only on the splash start up page, because that's the background. If you watch a movie or in a program, do you still see it? It may be a bad screen and is covered under warranty. Try contacting the people you bought it from.

    3. The laptop suppose to come with the carry bag and in my case it didn't, its got RF mouse and all other extras including 2 year warranty. Is the carry bag supposed to be inside the original box? or does it come separately?
Well all accessories should've been removed along with the mouse. The only added accessory is the remote. If you still got the mouse, consider it an added bonus. :p

Mike hes saying the preinstalled OS that came with the system had a password. So someone owned that laptop before him and returned it. also if he still has a model with a 2 year warranty it should have the case. Cause later they switched to the one year warranty with no case or mouse. and no my w2v screen is perfect. i think someone owned your system before mine did not have any password when i opened and started it for the first time.
