Expected starting date of production: April
Expected release date: end of April - May
Carbon edition, screen will most probably be adjusted to a WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) according to my German contacts.

W1J will have LED-tool at the front in contrast to the W2J.

The W1J would just be perfect...even if I have to spend more $ than I intend to. My only hesitation on the W3J is the screen size...I guess I can always get an external montior and still have the W3J for its portable prowess...

    Choices . . . the choices . . .

Been looking at the W3j for ages but since it is coming later rather than sooner, I may have my eyes open for other options.

The W1j sounds great too! If only Asus would include a backlit keyboard like Apple does ;)

^ I'm with you 1000% there. I can't find anyone other than Apple. Any others that you've seen?

The V1J looks real nice too - but it's not until August ETA.

Ever thought about importing them from Europe (if warranty is global...)?

EDIT: Price isn't fixed yet, however, I have heard it will me 300 EUR - 365 USD expensiver than the W1V at the introduction (don't know its intro price). Furthermore, I don't have a clue whether this applies to the US as well...

The W1V was approx 3.2 KG. You might suspect that the W1J will have the same weight.

I have one concern left, all its specs look high end, except the graphical card, I mean the X1600 might be high-end for notebooks nowadays, but within 2 months it won't be anymore.

It sounds strange to me not to implement the X1800 with a month or two to go...

Compared with the W2J, 3.2 KG is heavy indeed.
