Hi. Wanted to know if the video card or the cpu can be easily upgraded. I see other countries get a slightly better options for V6J. My main problem with it currently is the slower processor - would like a 2ghz duo. Also would like a better video card, but not as neccessary as the only game i really play is WOW.

    Thanks

You can't upgrade the GPU without extensive MOBO/cooling system modifications, which usually total the notebook's cost (even a notebook as pricey as the V6J). The CPU upgrade will void the Asus warranty that comes with your notebook, so I'd be careful about doing that. However, you might be able to have your dealer warrant your notebook instead - you have to check with your dealer however, as they vary on if they will do this or not.

Right. Generally, most GPUs on notebooks right now aren't upgradable...
You CAN upgrade the CPU though. Warranty may be voided, but if you get the dealer to install it, they may warrant the system with their own warranty.

I got my V6j today, and I have to agree that you likely won't need the increase to a 2.0 Ghz. This thing blows any other computer I have used out of the water and any and every slow down I have encountered thus far have been something that wasn't processor, like using the CD or HDD. The computer absolutely rocks, though.

Ok, so after a couple weeks of debating I've finally decided to get the V6J. In fact, I just ordered it 5 mins ago and already I'm excited.

Thanks everyone for the active forum, helped me make my decision all that much easier.
