Now before you all crucify me for not using the search function, I did in fact go through a bunch of pages using the search button and I couldn't find anything besides the V1S will be released late July. Why hasn't Asus released the specs or price yet if this July date is true? Is it true that the V1S will be like the G1S except better build quality?

They haven't announced it at all, it's only been leaked out as the name. If anything, it's all from rumors and speculations.

If you want to compare the two, the V1jp and G1p are the two to compare, both older versions but the same build. As for why we assume the specs and release of it is because of the Lamborghini VX2s, which is based off the V1 chassis. The specs for that have been released(8600GT, HDMI, WSXGA+), so we assume it'll be very similar.

That's what I mean, if they haven't even announced it yet then how can this late July release date be possible?

People have emailed ASUS and asked, and dealers have mentioned some potential dates, but no official word from ASUS.
