    Hi all,

I just received one of these to replace my U500VZ which was 3 years old, love the Zenbooks!

On comparison to the U500VZ I don't find the build quality to be anywhere near as good, the unit feels more plastic than aluminium.

My main concern is the touchpad, it feels very heavy to the touch when left clicking and makes a very pronounced click compared to the older unit. Sometimes it seems to make a click sound twice when pressed and I can only describe the feel as if there's two level of 'cicks' in it. There's also a lot of travel in the left click compared to the older unit.

Has anyone else noticed problems with the touchpad on these devices?

    Thanks
    Andy.

Hey I actually have the same issue I noticed, typically it makes the loud "click" when using the right click (bottom right) area of the touchpad. It usually only makes that noise the first time I click it every 10 minutes or so, almost as if it is stuck and needs to get loose again. Kind of concerning, but you are the only other one I've heard with this issue as well.
