    ok, so basically my display goes black for 5 seconds either during the "welcome to windows" screen when booting if my "nvidia display service" is set to off in the Asus fast boot application.. or if I put it "on" it delays it to after windows has booted. either way my screen turns black for 5 seconds each time I power on my laptop.

    my question is.. how can I (is it possible to) make my laptop's display not turn black at all?
