    Hi guys,

My two year old Asus U45JC laptop has a loose monitor cable connector. Basically, when I move the screen holding the left-side of the screen, I get flickers and yellow lines, like this:

(it doesn't happen all the time, but ONLY ever happens when moving the screen. When it does happen, further screen adjustments make the screen go back to normal.)

The laptop is still under warranty for a couple of months, although I use it for work so I'd really rather fix it myself if possible.

Does anyone have any info on disassembling the u45JC? Or, at least, can anyone post some info about how to access this cable and reseat it? I'm in Australia and, from what Asus told me, they might have to send the laptop to the USA to be repaired under warranty (this model wasn't sold down here, had it shipped over). Really can't be without it for so long so would much rather do it myself!

    Cheers.

EDIT: Would I use essentially the same technique in this post? http://www.insidemylaptop.com/replace-cracked-screen-asus-u52f-laptop/ The screens of the two laptops look mildly similar, and this gives access to the monitor cable.

Am I the only one with this laptop? I tried using the guide in the edit above but could get the bezel off the bottom of the LCD without feeling like I was going to snap it, so ended it there. Would thoroughly appreciate some help on this, even if someone could just tell me how to get the bottom of the flimsy plastic bezel off!
