I'm trying to contact Asus to ask them about what extended warranties are available for their laptops (specifically, that I had a 3-year extended warranty on one of their laptops that I bought 4 years ago and can only see a 1-year extended warranty now), but it seems that you can only contact them if you have a serial number i.e. you are an existing customer.

Does it seem strange to anyone else that you can't simply email them to ask a question before you make a purchase?

You should go ahead and use the serial number of your old laptop to get in touch with the ASUS support.

    Cheers, I'll try that.

It seems a little worrying that the 3-year warranty is no longer available.
