Towards the end of last year I bought a w3v however recently the touchpad has started playing up - it wont detect movement or its random and the cursor jumps all over the screen (i've checked all the settings and nothing has helped). This problem has become increasingly worse up to a point where using the touchpad is impossible!!

Will I have to get use to using a mouse or is there some way to fix/replace the touchpad?

    Any help appreciated!!

Is it under warranty still? It should be possible to fix/replace it, but I'm not sure if its worth the cost... Have you played around with the touchpad settings at all? Something could have gotten messed up...

Try to reinstall the touchpad utility from the driver cd. If the problem is still there and we don't know whether some software problem, reinstall a fresh Windows and utility to see how it works. If it doesn't work, it relate to a hardware problem. Might be you can use a USB mouse for temporary use instead of using a touchpad.

    Cheers

Yeah its still under warrenty, but ive tried all the settings and it seemed to be getting worse every day, which led me to believe the touchpad itself was dying.

I think reformatting to determine if it's a hardware problem is a bit extreme, personally. If you boot to a LiveCD of some sort and the touchpad behaves erratically, I believe you can safely call it a hardware problem.
