    m50vm touchpad mode button doesn't work for me. what is the fix for this? is there a driver that i need?

    Go to your mouse properties -> device settings tab -> click settings -> tapping -> enable tap zones -> check the box "switch to button mode by taping in the upper-right corner" in Dual Mode -> click OK and you're all set
