Hey guys I just put together my m6bne and the install was simple. Only problem is that I can't seem to get my cpu to stay at 1.8 all the time which is what i want. I have speed step disabled in bios but it only seems to be running at 600mhz when i check it in system properties.

Any help is appreciated thanks :)

this can be due to various reasons. First thing to do at all times is update the bios, which can be found at www.asustek.com i belive. Next step is to see if you have some of the software running on battery mode, it is possible if you have the power 4 gear running on a lower mode, then it will be slowing down tyour speed. Try things until you get it to work, its always a hassle at the begining but its worth it in the end

try using cpu-z, it gives more accurate readings of cpu speed in real time (its freeware too). I know asus probe has a problem with not displaying correct cpu speed, maybe speed switch xp has a similar issue?
