Hi ive recently bought a g1s with 2,4 ghz and 250gb hd.

and it rules but.. when i play , lets say unreal tournment 3 it runs rly smooth but after like 10 minutes it starts to hack like hell and it pisses me off hehe.

    so my question is why?

and ive seen my proc can get rly busy when im just surfing etc.

    NOPE!

Don't remove the tapes that "block" the air in... They are there by design... If you remove them you will run the risk of running even hotter since the vacuum that the fan creates will be gone. The fan sucks air in from the opposite side of the notebook just where the hard disk is, so the air travels from the hard disk area to the memory modules area and finally to the CPU/GPU heatskinks.

Don't rely on other people's experiences in overclocking since you have to take into consideration the room temperature you are located.

I suggest you invest on a cooling pad.

    Cheers!

hehe ok thx, but i think its strange that it runs so good then starts to hack because of temp. arent other ppl able to play ? without a coolingpad ?

i got between 60 - 70 C when idle on gpu . around 60 C idle Cpu .. is it normal ? it feels like it should be lower. and when gaming around 90-98 C on gpu . :S

thx for the help btw .

Yea, this is perfectly normal for the G1S :)
Mine has exact the same temperature, i have send a mail to Asus and they said temperatures up to 110°C are still "safe" so there is no problem ;)

What drivers are you using? You gotta tell us that at the very least.
