Ugh I didn't want it to be a problem to bring me back to the forums... :(

Today my volume controls on my keyboard stopped working. The popup box comes up and looks like it is controlling the volume, but it doesn't actually do anything. It doesn't change the system volume. The ones I am having problems with are the touchpad enable/disable, sound mute/unmute, volume up, and volume down. All the other keys work, and those 4 work on their normal commands (F9-F12). I have NO clue why this would have happened. I haven't installed any new drivers lately nor have I had a windows update that might have unknowingly changed it.

Any ideas you guys have are greatly appreciated :)

restart. I have both atkosd2 and atkmedia installed, an sometimes media takes over osd, leaving me win inoperative sound buttons. A restart fixes it, and brings back the awesomeness of atkosd2.

I have restarted and shut down my computer like a dozen times since this problem started. I can install the newest ATK hotkey and the buttons work until I restart my computer... After restarting they don't work. This problem hasn't existed until a couple days ago. It has been working for months and months, why would it just stop working all of a sudden?

Why won't it work after restarting?

    Because of bugs.

Try restoring your computer to an earlier point, maybe that will undo the fault... (if you're using Vista, Backup and Restore center).

Otherwise you can try uninstalling all the ATK stuff, cleaning up the remnants manually (program files, settings in the user files, registry) and reinstalling.

    Or else, Windows reinstallation...
