I know people have asked this before but I didn't get any conclusive results about how the cooler performed with the c90 since I know the zalman is somewhat particular about how the notebook is built. Anyone with any concrete data?

I am using a Zalman Cooler with my C90s. The problem is that there is a gap between the C90 and the cooler due to the "Turbo Engine". Therefor the cooling ability is very limited in my opinion. Of course it does help the laptop to stay a little bit cooler but I expected more.
Another thing I have to criticize is the noise level. Even with lowest fan speed , it is audible, sounds like a turbine.
I cant give you any concrete temp. data but I can tell you the difference between with or withou the cooler is very low.

Yeah main reason I want the cooler is so I can overclock even more. If it won't cool much, then theres no point getting it.

I get about a 10c drop :p with the NC-1000 works great for me, but I made it do so, also pay attention to the intake on the c90 vs where the air comes out on the cooler, you need to slide the laptop as far forward as possible to have it in the airflow.

Yeah well I think I reached the max overclock for the card. I thought the max my gpu could handle before artifcating was 90s but I'm in a very frosty room and the gpu with my normal overclock is on 84 and it still artifacts when I go a tiny bit past it.

Toss a house fan under it and your temps will probably stay as low as 60-70, its a good way to test anything heat related.

What overclock do you 2 get on your 8600? My core maxes out at a mere 525...terrible isn't it?

Yeah good idea, to find out if its a heat issue or just the card.

Highest right now is 561/491. If I go 565 my whole screen artifacts and goes crazy.
