Today after gaming on COD4 a bit with my Asus G50, i left and then immideatly my screen went black my mouse stopped working the OLED display stopped and it went into sleep mode? Why did it do this? Did it overheat?

P.S gaming for nearly 5 hours on highest settings on COD4, could it have overheated?

It's possible - have you tried checking your temps with everest or rivatuner?

I downloaded everset and the temps seem to be about right 41oC for CPU at idle after gaming, and 47oC for GPU after the gaming, not during the games.

Fans kicked in for GPU at 74 degrees Celsius after about 5 minutes of play they kicked in lowered it to 65, and then stopped. Then i came here.

Hmmm.. Try using the onscreen display and playing for at least half an hour, I'll find a walkthrough on how to go about it in rivatuner if you like (not sure about everest, I've never used it.

The temps drop rapidly even if you just alt+tab between the game and rivatuner, so you really want to see the temps in-game (unless everest does that).

Your temps sound fine, you may have just had a random windows crash. Gaming for a long time often starts building crud up in the ram and stuff and makes the system more prone to being unstable.
