    Hi all,

I have been having a problem w/my screen where initially half of it would get blocked intermittently and now it's sometimes half or at other times the entire screen is blocked or shaky/wavy. While I'm not sure, I think it might be a loose cable(s) and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and whether tech support sorted it out, how long they took etc. My laptop (X540S) is still under warranty but not for much longer. Is it best to call them or use the ASUS service center app provided?

The headphone jack as well, has not worked from the outset so hopefully I can get that fixed at the same time.

    Thanks.

Can you post picture of the screen? If the system is still under warranty then by all means contact them to get these issues resolved.

    Hi Kevin,

Appreciate your response and sorry I've been slow to reply. I have tried getting a screen-shot a number of times but oddly even though the display is sometimes half/fully blocked with varied patterned squares, it doesn't show up on the screen-shot. I'm not sure what that means.

I have contacted ASUS tech support and will be sending my laptop in to be repaired. The guy was extremely polite and patient so it was a painless process. I just wanted to get a handle on what the problem might be beforehand, because it seemed like reviews of their tech support are all over the place, but I feel better now that I've spoken to them.

    Thanks again :)
