This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hey guys,

    My precious V1JP wouldn't POST, so I decided to see if anybody would needs it anyways. Selling for parts, naturally very cheap. Or, could you give me suggestions what can I do with it?

    Some details:
    First time it wouldn't POST I tried all official and unofficial methods to resuscitate it, but failed. I sent it to Asus for paid repairs, but they sent it back because it was working fine! (WT*?!) Apparently on the way there it decided to come alive. Then after 2 months of working it stopped again. It's been 2 weeks of not POST'ing now. So, it's a weird case of zombie laptop.
