Whats a safe tempt for a 8600M GT in a G1S-A1 laptop? I am not sure if ATItool is giving me the right reading but it is showing my GPU at 65C idle. Whats a max safe temp? Also, would it be better to use rivatuner for temps?

You can use either program, you may get slightly different readings. So give Rivatuner a try, and compare what you get.

I believe your idle temp is ok, maybe slightly high, make sure nothing is blocking the vents, and don't use the notebook on your bed.

As for gaming temps, your maximum is 100C, you should hit around 90C and you should be ok.
