S96J Display problem

I have been having a problem with the display on my S96J which I can't seem to solve. I have included some pictures below to show what I am talking about.

I am not sure if this is part of the grainnyness problem, but from what I have heard described, I don't think so.

I have tried installing new drivers, which doesn't correct the problem. I have even seen this while booting a Linux live CD. I am wondering if it is a BIOS problem, or if there is a problem with the video memory. It stumps me because the problem only occurs periodically, for about 10-15 minutes at a time, and then it goes back to normal again, without me having done anything to cause it. Now the red dots only seem to appear in blue areas of the screen, and even then only a certain shade of blue.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Whoa, now that is wierd. It seems to happen on blue as well as black/dark colours, at least from the pic. That is definitely not the grainyness issue...the red areas looking grainey could be related, but the whole thing about some of the colours turning to red is not the same..you could try the new BIOS that may fix it, but I don't know. Definitely give a BIOS upgrade a shot, or contact support.
