I just did a clean install of Vista on my G1. I am getting it all ready to go for school which will start up here on the 15th for me. I have most of the hard work done already, without a problem. I haven't dealt with any video drivers or anything of that nature yet because I'm currently downloading a massive patch for World of Warcraft. However, I have been noticing several random lock ups while at the desktop, once wile using Firefox, and once while installing Adaware 2008. I don't know what could be causing this. My gauges don't read any stress on the CPU or RAM. The laptop it's self isn't hot at all either. Could it be the graphics driver that causes these lock ups? If so I have a link to a driver that has worked for me in the past from laptopvideo2go. But does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help on this!

I just got finished installing 56 updates. One of those 56 updates might have fixed my issue, my fingers are crossed. I'll post more about this to give you guys some more information.

What exactly do you mean by lockups? Do you need to restart, or does it become unresponsive for a few seconds? Can you still move the mouse when it happens?

Yes, the entire system locks up and the only way to get out of it is by restarting the laptop. I tried something last night and let the computer just idle at the desktop for awhile, I fell asleep, and woke up to a still functioning laptop. This leads me to suspect maybe World of Warcraft might have had some issues installing (I was doing alot of different installations while installing the game). I have uninstalled WoW and am going to reinstall here shortly to see if I can fix my problem.

I fixed my issue. I found another way to install the WoW patches and that worked for me, at a much faster download rate to boot! Anyway..sorry to clog the forums up with my useless ramblings..feel free to delete this.
