I'm purchasing my A8JS tonight and I just want to make sure the extra 1GB of RAM I'm purchasing with it will work with it.

    ASUS A8JS

    G.SKILL 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)

    This should work fine right?

I have a A8Js notebook. I just received a laptop memory from my cousin. I search for the exact same one on newegg.com and found it. I was wondering if this laptop memory would fit. I put it in but it does not seem to read it. It might be the way I am putting the ram in. I put it in at an angle and then I pushed it down into the slot. It kind of looks like the other ram that has been in there but the one I put it does not seem to be all the way in. I tried pushing it in but thats all it goes. Can someone help me?

    1) Make sure you push it all the way in.
    2) Ram might be bad/damaged.

Thanks, I did not pushed it all the way in. I did not know that you supposed to push it in when it is at about a 45 degrees angle. Thanks for your response.
