    I know you cant upgrade the gpu of a laptop, but what about the motherboard? or is that a dumb question.....

    It's possible, though the hard part is finding the motherboard itself to replace it with heh :p

    Generally speaking it is difficult to add a different/upgraded fan. It is certainly possible to replace the fan with a replacement fan (same size and from the manufacturer). If you need upgraded cooling, the best is probably to get a cooling pad, also, that way you don't void the warranty or risk ruining the computer.
