The G50Vt-X5 is just like any G50 series, but with a lightning flame pattern on the screen cover.

All G50 notebooks support dual hard drives. It will also support the x9000 CPU, but upgrading the CPU will automatically void your warranty.

X1 and X5 have the same HDD and both have a bay for a second (although I don't think they come with the brackets). They also both have the same RAM (system RAM and VRAM).

The only difference is the faster processor in the X1 and the larger battery in the X5. If you are planning on replacing the CPU, why would you want to pay $50 more for a processor you are going to remove?

Best Buy has created all kinds of confusion with their specs, but again, these sysems are identical other than

    1. Color
    2. CPU (.13 difference)
    3. Battery (9 cell on the X5, 6 cell on the X1)

Both systems have a 7200rpm 320 GB HDD, DDR2 system RAM, and 512 MB GDDR VRAM.
